Well it's official... I picked up Robert's C4S yesterday. I'm very happy and most importantly so is the wife. In fact, I knew I was a lucky guy when she was more excited about getting the car than I was!!! Here are some photos from Hollister, CA yesterday.
A HUGE thanks goes out to Robert who hooked me up with the original wheels, exhaust and suspension. My SUV was totally packed for the trip home. Robert has been lending me some great support in getting this car, thanks again man!
On the way home we stopped at Loren's house, who owns and runs Renntech. He scanned the car and went through a lot of things with me. He was pretty impressed with the car and the DME records indicated the car had been babied.
All in all yesterday was a great day! Someone took pictures of us as we drove by. When we stopped at a rest stop someone else had their kid pose in front of our car for photos. The gas stop turned into a question and answer session with the station attendant. My Boxster is nice, but it doesn't get this much attention! Obviously it's a very special car and I don't ever plan to part with it.

Well I'm already bastardizing Robert's beautiful ride. I swapped on the carbon fiber hood from my Boxster just for grins and giggles to see how it looks. I don't know, I haven't decided to leave it yet or not. Here are a couple pictures with my lovely Assistant from last night.
Oh and I raised the front about 1.5" and the rear about 0.5" just to make the car more usable. I couldn't hardly go anywhere in my town without it scraping before...

Congratulations Kirk. I'm glad you are enjoying the car. I'm also happy to see that the report on the car came back perfect. Not surprised, considering How she was treated.
I would personally leave the stock hood. However it's not mine anymore. Actually, hasn't been mine for 4 years now.
Craiiger,
That tail is the Techart Type II. Part of the complete Techart Type II package.
Ah, the memories of that car.....Enjoy it Kirk.
