I will say, I like the looks of the new 991, esp the GT3, but really this turbo variant does nothing for me....I think it is kind of cool they are giving a nod to the turbo s with the air inlets, but I still don't care for the looks. In the case of money, it is far more expensive than what it is worth. If it were up to me I would take a slighty used MP4 over this in a heartbeat.

 

Good point on the MP4. They fell so fast in value that no one expected it. It's now a ton of car for the money in the used market. I know a dealer that has maybe 20 new cars that have just sat in a warehouse.

 

Going to see a 991 Turbo S in a couple hours, I will try to snap some pics on my iPhone...

 

It's sad too, let's face it, the MP4 is the nerdy (traditional porsche turbo) owner's car, something that is balanced, turbo charged and doesn't have the looks of a ferrari. It seems that the flashy money folks are more interested in what "looks expensive" macca is faster than a ferrari, but i have a feeling this 991 Turbo/S will be faster than both... I have seen and been around about 5/6 MP4's and to be honest, the looks really do nothing for me, but i think it is a cool car.

 

Agree. Driven one. They are fast. But the exterior is lacking. But that's a personal preference. Like some people think the 991 turbo S is weak. That's why someone invented paint.
