What Makes a Porsche Unforgettable?

Seriously a phat pig M6 won't make anyone's want list in 5-10 years.
612 as well. Nothing desirable there. FF which I also dislike will make the 612 non existent except it's now way cheap.

The car itself, probably not. But the S85 V10 is one for the history books. Probably the last of the big N/A engines this world will ever see. Thanks tree-huggers

I don't keep them long enough to give a shit about it's future.

Desirable for some yet undesirable for others. Goes to show you can't please everyone all at once. People have different tastes and different trends. But by the looks of things, some people on here don't care to keep cars long enough to forge a special bond between car and driver or just buy cars to fill up unused garage space.
I don't go for that sort of thing - every vehicle purchase of mine (and every modification I do to them) is carefully calculated - not based on resale value down the road, if I wanted good resale value I'de buy a Nissan Sunny, but its for that bond that you feel everytime you sit in the car everytime you start that engine. I used to own an E46 M3 (hence my username) -- and God knows even if I was offered any Lambo or Ferrari for it I would not have given it up (unfort the mud and heavy rainfall felt otherwise). This, in my view, is what turns a car into a true classic in the eye of the individual enthusiast.

Regarding the Ferro, sorry but the FF is hideous and I don't believe will ever make the 612 non-existent. Its comparing apples with oranges. FF is 4x4 hatchback whatever it is and the 612 is a pure GT car that carries the original coachbuilder's name Scaglietti and was produced at their historical site. This is the sort of thing that means more to me as an enthusiast. I don't have F40/F50/Enzo money -- this is the next best thing for me.

It's not a Porsche, but I'll second the idea that the FF will be quite collectible in the future.
It's got a unique design, it's got exclusivity, it's got a Ferrari badge - it has everything it needs to be collectible in the future.
