^^^sorry to disagree it's not the best car made. I love Porsches and the Turbo of any sort would be my last purchase out of their fleet. Boring and useless unless you continue to get your jollies off of short little bursts of speed between shifts. Add 3000 RPM's to the gauge and you might have something of interest.
I have driven a 996 GT2 however, and that was definitely a thrill to drive. While I didn't push it anywhere near its limit (it belonged to my fraternity chapter advisor), I could still see why it was dubbed 'the widowmaker'. The GT2 breed definitely deserves exemption from this argument.

Car is pretty without a question but I would have been bored as hell after 5 miles so I'm guessing Jaime likes it twice as much as me.

And, I'm happy to debate you anytime or place on the positive/negative merits of the Porsche Turbo/Turbo S. I did say arguably in my post

I think, for my needs, the Turbo S is amazing. Those short bursts of speed make me smile, and the AWD will make me smile when fall/winter rolls around here in the NE, and the dynamic cornering lights were great last night when I saw the deer jumping into the road ahead. The PCCB's, I think they are insane - not that my other P car's or F car's didnt stop on a dime, but this car is just solid and abruptly stops! The center lock wheels, to me, this car rides and provides the best road feedback I've ever experienced. I think the car handles great, but I'm just a regular guy who likes solid engineering and nice cars.
Also, I hate stick shift at this point. I just do. I dont want to sit in NY/NJ traffic pressing pedals and shifting gears. I also like to play with my ipod, drink my morning coffee and give the finger to assholes on the road - much harder to do all that with a stick shift :-)
I will admit, PDK takes a bit of getting used to - the "Standard" mode for the car is a little dull. It shifts slowly. Sport mode, its awesome. It really is. I was on an important call yesterday and decided to take it off bluetooth, so I was holding the phone (i know, bad boy), and I put the car back into auto mode - and it was great to drive like that. The car anticipated my shifts and really was fun. I love this car, and I stand by my statement that arguably, this is the best car made.
