The first attempt was not a race.

He looked very timid in the second run. Lot's of lag-possible wrong gear choice for the P-car driver.

I was on that drive. My buddy was driving the white GT3. I'm not sure if they were racing, since I was further up ahead. This was a caravan from Los Angeles to Vegas for the M-fest about 3 weeks ago. When we got to Vegas I started talking with the M3 guy. He was very nice and took me and two other porsche guys for a ride. That car was currently over 700hp to the wheels with a stage 3 turbo kit using methanol. Lots of lag, but when it hit, the power was intense. Very single turbo supra-ish. Not my style as it was losing traction all over the place, but entertaining nonetheless. Turns out that M3 was trailored from Portland to Barstow then he drove with the rest of the cars (almost 100) into Vegas.
I asked him about tracking it and he said the car is all engine. They didn't do too much on the suspension.
