Champion Motorsport Release 2010 997.2 Power Kit
#12
We were convinced that the road block would be this area of the engine, but to our surprise it was not. It is also interesting to note that the 997.2 does not have MAF sensors, rather it has dual MAP sensors. One is conviently located just prior to the throttle body (in the y-pipe) and the second is located in the right hand bank plenum chamber. With proper data logging we were able to monitor pressure drop across the throttle using standard OEM sensors.. how convienient.. To our surprise the differential in pressure at 2200mb of boost is less than .06bar (.87 psi). We have not yet explored if the .06 bar would be more beneficial than the gains realized from this new technology, but at this time we really had no need to design a new intake manifold, as the power levels achieved were so high.
Realize that it is not just the throttle body or even the t-pipe that is limited, but also the inlets to the left and right hand plenums.
Thanks for the great question..

THAT is some serious knowledge man that is what i like to hear by tuners!
what about a similar thread about the 997.1 car ?
same questions about the 997.1 specific gains you found with the y pipe + t pipe + 84mm TB + turbo intake vs stock setup? (sorry to hijack the 997.2 thread)

A few photos of the Werks1 Y-Pipe and Air Box for the 2010 997.2 TT.
The boys in the Carbon shop have been very busy.. These are not prototypes, these are production parts, going out the shipping door today. I managed to intercept these before they were boxed just to get photos of them!!
Thanks
