I should start by saying that I havent driven either the new TT or the GTR, however, from what I heard, read online and on various forums I can conclude that:

If you turn off all electronics in the GTR, it will NOT be fast, and you WILL void your warranty. The GTR has very clever electronic systems that modulate everything, from suspension to the AWD. That's why it has loads more traction, it always knows what to do. But then again, an AI driven car would. But do you really like to sit in the passenger seat and let your car win for you??!

Plus, and I dont think this is rant, most people are used to front engined cars, however, most are NOT used to or familiar with rear engined cars. Although this "could" count as a plus for the GTR, that anyone can hop in and be fast in it, that's not what Supercars are about, not even sports cars. Otherwise, cars like the CGT or F40 should be deemed "unworthy"!

Just my $0.02

The Turbo looked awfully bouncy though, almost makes you wonder whether Porsche sent a car with a malfunctioning PSM. With the numbers the Mk.II Turbo is putting down I have a very hard time believing the GT-R could beat it. And what on Earth is the point of doing a timed comparison lap when you know the brakes are shot?

I'd rather take this guy's word for it: Porsche 911 Turbo | Car video | evo

All things considered; I'd pick the R8 though.

I'd think he set it in Sport+ and did not reset PASM to normal mode!
