Im Confused!!!

Im reading the new Autoweek about the 2010 997 Turbo. It says "The dry sump lubrication has seven separate pump spraying 2.8 gallons of oil"
I thought and read the 2010 was not going to have a dry sump.

Thanks for any input

That's just the marketing BS. The "new" turbo has the 9A1 based "integrated dry sump", aka wet sump, based DFI motor.

Same basic concept but now using a new, consumer grade engine. No more race car derived dry sump motor. I would hold on tight to that GT2, sadly there won't be anything like it again.

Agree. The 9A1 is not a motorsports engine, despite the raves from a recent issue of Excellence magazine.

Believe me, if they start racing the '9A1 engine' in GT2 or similar classes, it won't be the same engine the consumer receives.
