Question Tip vs 6 speed on a TT - thoughts ???

Just wondering what trany and why did you select. looking at getting a tt and not sure what to get regarding a tip vs a 6 speed. I have a F1 ferrari and love it. Very glad I did not get the 6 speed.

If you are glad you got the F1 in Ferrari, then do not get the tip in the turbo. You will be disappointed !! Go for the 6speed.

The upside of the Tip is faster straight line acceleration as shown below. There are definitely folks who bought the Tip for this purpose and ended up a little disappointed.
If time is not a factor in your decision, you might want to wait until Fall when the PDK transmission comes out (hopefully). This is much more likely to be similar to a Ferrari type tranny than a Tiptronic.

I opt for 6-speed personally.

6 speed for me as well. My personal opinion is a true sports car should be manually shifted to control the RPM's and not a "Chicktronics" to take all the fun out of the drive!!

6 speed is cheaper, fun to drive and mod friendly whilst there are some problems with the in consistency of the tiptronic for modifications in excess of 600hp to the crank.

my choice hands down would be the 6 speed... assuming that this isnt your daily driver.
