ipod connection---help

When my car is unused for a few days, the PCM says no ipod connected. My only solution is to unplug and replug, then it is immediately recognized and works. Any other solutions?? I know drive car everyday, sorry have a few others that need exercise too.

My Nav TV does it every once in a while. I think it has to do with the ipod itself.
