another option would be re-gearing the tranny so that 1st gear is longer.
I've heard that's the change the 6th gear to a longer one so the car can bring better top speed records

when is the last time you hit 200mph on a public road? 1st gear is useless in a modified 996tt - re-gear the tranny to get it back, and shorten the other gears to stay in the power band. i think BigBen had shortened 6th to 180mph or so (which is still faster than one needs to go on public roads) but he complained that it revved too high while cruising.

Without bigger turbos the Sachs Stage III could be a bit of overkill. Do the Sachs Stage II and match it with a Light Weight Flywheel. If you can stand the chatter it makes, it is a nice performance upgrade.

Suspension first. That is what I am looking into now.

Where's my quote Betim??

i guess you should start working on your suspension, just to get more power to the ground!!
