Test drove the 458

From what I know the new model is going to be a hard top, I badly want a blue one with a red softtop and red interior.

Okay update,
Just talked to the salesman:
He says the 458 will be a softtop and I am not to sure about his comments but I do hope its a soft-top. I am going to wait for that, I feel it would be a more enjoyable drive with the topdown listening to the exhaust.
I also heard about the 458 having a similar setup to the 575 SuperAmerica ?

Quite possibly the best way to explain a 458, I absolutely loved it when I drove one, and being a passenger was just that much cooler, even then I was amazed all the way around.

Very honest review, which is hard to find these days due to people not having driven an better cars, or magazines/car shows wanting Ferrari to like them and invite them to the next big event!
I totally understand where you are coming from, for that amount of cash, I can think of cars I would rather have (as a driver's car that is)
Not saying that the 458 is not a car I would love to own, it's just that I would much rather have a GT2RS, or a 16M for the more fun factor
is it an F-1 VS twin-clutch gearbox, or am I getting my information mixed up? never had a chance to drive or ride in a 458, but the scud would be hard to beat IMO
You also mentioned the spyker, that thing is phenomenal IMO, great taste
Thanks again for the great review, and I can't wait to see what you settle for

I changed my mind of the 458 Spider/convertible.
What I REALLY want to get the Scuderia version of this car, I am not getting the 458 today or tomorrow, it will be in a couple of years and by then the Scuderia version will be just out. At least the Scuderia version will be limited production and a better car to have long term, not when the replacement model comes and it wont be looked at just a regular mode like a 360,F430 etc.
I loved how Ferrari did the 430 Scud/16M that being specifically the front bumper, carbon headlight inserts and the lighter door panels etc I cant wait to see how they can improve this 458.
I am already going to pay a large amount for the Ferrari anyways, would be nice to have the top of the range model from the 458 lineup as my first Ferrari.
