Chris Harris's Rant: How Ferrari spins

Ferrari with shady business practices?
No waaaaay.
Ferrari is shit and they sell overpriced everything with stupid prancing horse logos to people who have nothing else going on in their lives and want to feel like they're a part of something classy when really they're just bottom of the barrel targets for advertisers but it's okay as no one I know under the age of 30 thinks very highly of Ferrari at all. Their time has passed.

I hate it when manufacturers do this kind of thing. I never really like Ferrari too much anyway.
When the Nissan GT-R came out, there was a similar situation. An owner dynoed his car and found it had about 450hp at the flywheel. A journalist dynoed a press car, and he got a reading of 530hp at the flywheel. Obviously Nissan tunes their cars as well. Nissan's response to this was that since the GT-R engines are hand built, power output varies.
Complete BS.

Chris is great and he says it himself: The cars are great. Such a shame that there's all this BS behind it ruining the "aura"/magic/whatever of the brand. That kind of thing really bothers me about a brand and it would nag me owning it even if I was happy with the product they produced because of how they represented it and the malice involved.

guess what, you agree with a 12 year old.

Are any of you guys into computer graphics?
Do you remember several years ago when Nvidia and ATI had their huge benchmark battle?
Each one tweaked their drivers to give it a little edge on Futuremark or whatever bench they were using.
This is a very similar scenario.
I would do the same thing. It's just business.
