Chris Harris's Rant: How Ferrari spins
#52
Because my car's repairs have a direct correlation with automotive journalism, Ferrari's corporate behavior, and forum poster's ages?
I'm going to assume shrooms are involved somehow.

This actually reminds me how Tuners like to say, Get your ECU done and you will pick up 70HP......uhhhh yeah maybe on C16, not on pump gas. Than when the time comes and you get the mod you wonder where the power is.

Thing is, for the consumer, it would be better to test the cars as they truly are. Every person drives their car differently or has different priorities on performance (power, hoon factor, handling, etc), and this tweaking of cars based on reviewing circumstances just ruins that. We should rely on fair journalism to tell us things like "yes car A lost to car B in this setting, however we believe car A would have had the upper hand if... etc, etc".

Or not even the ECU, the thing I see now is that G-power something "chip" which essentially just amplifies the throttle position. Claim 100+ HP gain for $69. Ya, you gained 100hp, at 1/4 throttle, because you're actually at full throttle. press further and nothing more happens.

I have only met one tuner who was fairly honest with me and that was because I am not a client of his.
