Typical to get a new car you show them you are willing to lose a 100k on some trades and used ones. This climate might find some dealers looking for newbies but Ferrari has cut production enough they still don't get all the cars they want.
Ferrari dealerships also need used cars to survive so it will always help to have a car to trade in. It's a business is all and they were spoiled for years with guys writing checks for over msrp to get their product. It will take some time before they change if they ever do.
Why spec one OP? Just wait until next year and save 50-60k off msrp and find a nice one in your flavor.

^^ I guess. I've owned six different Ferraris purchased at four different Ferrari dealerships. All of those dealerships are gone now. Most of those dealerships were owned by car guys; Ferrari guys. Every one of those dealerships was great to walk in to, even if you didn't have a penny to your name. Every one of those dealerships loved to sit down and talk cars, talk history, talk racing.
I haven't walked into a Ferrari dealership in several years that I've liked.

Unfortunately the dealers you talk about Mexico I believe have gone by the wasteside and we are left with corporate ruled crapola.
