Right on, and I get that. I want the same for my kids. But having grown up between nothing and spoiled, and with close friends on both sides of the spectrum, I've seen both sides and I am happier without everything given to me.
You might think you are making them happy now by giving the world to them, but IMO it just takes away from immaterial satisfaction later in life. I'd rather make sure they are comfortable (you know, even an M3) and set them up to make themselves happy and good human beings for long after I am gone.
I don't think I am jealous or a hater, just expressing a fundamental disagreement I have. I couldn't care less what he has or does, but they are clearly not trying to hide from the media so I am going to feel just fine expressing my opinion.

I also don't comprehend why there seems to be a vibe that if you don't think it's completely awesome this guy has been given/has access to all these cars that you automatically qualify as a hater. Quite frankly, the absurdity of that viewpoint makes me want to slam my head against a brick wall.

Actually, I'd like to hear what you are talking about, because I don't think you even have a clue.

how many times are you going to mention that? no one cares.
you sure you weren't run out for constantly mentioning you drive a retiree's car? "driving e36 318i's and other 5k dollar cars"? you sound like a complete douche, you look down on them because of the value you place on their cars and are surprised when they look down on you for having done nothing to earn yours.
fyi, if i drove an old woman's car i certainly wouldn't be advertising it.

^I agree 100% Wyatt.
Like many have said, you don't need money to spoil kids, but it sure makes things a hell of a lot easier to spoil them if you have lots of money. I have seen enough spoiled brats (both rich and poor) to know that kids need to be made to finish what they start and earn the things they want. Otherwise they will never appreciate anything they have, and will never be truly thankful for anything. Aren't those two things a significant portion of the foundation for a happy and productive life?
IMHO, the best gifts a parent can bestow upon their kids is to instill proper values of courtesy, thankfulness, graciousness, accomplishment and working for what you want.
I have no idea if the parents of the kid referenced in the article have done that for him. I sure hope so.

I just hope he drives them and plays with them. If he's doing that Perfect. I'm calling my dad tonight. Maybe he'll buy me that 250GT I want so dearly.
