^ yea, definitely not..

I was not implying you were socialist, just that I am pro "do whatever you want with your $$." For all we know he donates hundreds of millions, maybe he doesn't. And I know for a fact my kid would never have his own supercar collection. Even if I were bill gates, he could have one DD and one exotic, that's it.

I wasn't implying arrogance. Just the hard working and responsible side that others mentioned.
Not that we can believe or read into this article too much, but the fact that he rides the public transit occasionally shows that he is not arrogant (if true). Again, nothing against the kid.

So many haters.

I'm going to take care of my kids to the best of my abilities, and I will definitely spoil them for as long as I'm able to. I don't see anything wrong with providing for the people you love. There's nothing better than making someone you love happy.

Exactly! If I am in such a position, I would do the same.

Right on, and I get that. I want the same for my kids. But having grown up between nothing and spoiled, and with close friends on both sides of the spectrum, I've seen both sides and I am happier without everything given to me.
You might think you are making them happy now by giving the world to them, but IMO it just takes away from immaterial satisfaction later in life. I'd rather make sure they are comfortable (you know, even an M3) and set them up to make themselves happy and good human beings for long after I am gone.

I don't think I am jealous or a hater, just expressing a fundamental disagreement I have. I couldn't care less what he has or does, but they are clearly not trying to hide from the media so I am going to feel just fine expressing my opinion.

^I agree 100% Wyatt.

Like many have said, you don't need money to spoil kids, but it sure makes things a hell of a lot easier to spoil them if you have lots of money. I have seen enough spoiled brats (both rich and poor) to know that kids need to be made to finish what they start and earn the things they want. Otherwise they will never appreciate anything they have, and will never be truly thankful for anything. Aren't those two things a significant portion of the foundation for a happy and productive life?

IMHO, the best gifts a parent can bestow upon their kids is to instill proper values of courtesy, thankfulness, graciousness, accomplishment and working for what you want.

I have no idea if the parents of the kid referenced in the article have done that for him. I sure hope so.
