How true is that, Jas? I've paid it forward to many kids over the years, but I was always in the passenger seat!

Mine was a 308 GTS that was owned by my friend. I remember when he came round with it the one day and I wasn't nearly a big car nut as I was now. I just thought "There's the Magnum PI car."

After having lunch he took me for a spin around the block. The car was fast - but not stomach churning fast as what I was expecting. He had Tubi pipes on it and it sounded glorious.

The sound alone sold me. Since then I have had such a passion for automobiles, not specifically just Ferrari. Although it did start with a Ferrari

The first Ferrari I drove was a 355 GTS, I didn't think the sound could get better since the 308 and how wrong I was. I still think the 355 with Tubi pipes is definitely one of the top 10 best sounding road cars of all time.

It was back in 2002 when I met up with a group of BMW enthusiasts who had all brought their M5's. One guy in particular, Dan aka Bobafett (on many forums back then), brought out his black Ferrari 550 Maranello. I remember standing there thinking "wow, this is gorgeous..." with my jaws dropped. My jaws dropped even further after Dan graciously offered me a chance to get behind the wheels. I had sat in another Ferrari 360 Spider in Azzuro California Blue a month prior to this day but hadn't had a chance to drive it.

I got in the 550, looked over everything before firing up all 12 cylinders. I remember the grin I had when I first heard the initial start-up going from a whimper to a roar! I drove her down the street with a grin from ear to ear the whole time. I gunned it as she howled down the street and back. Everyone said that they could hear me the whole time.

Share your stories with pictures if you have them, the first time you experienced driving a Ferrari.

I know Dan good guy, my first time was in 1985 when I had my car audio business in New York it was a clients 308, then I drove his 3.2 Mondial, a 1988 328 and then the first series TR with the single drivers side mirror. They were all fun!

First time I ever rode in a F-car it was my childhood friends dad's F40...lucky right?

Second time I ever rode in one was Jas' F40...lucky again!

First time I drove one was Jas' 360CS. I'll never forget the experience - the moment he asked me to trade seats, the sound, the shit-eating grin on my face...I'll probably never be able to repay you Jas, but maybe you can relish in the fact that you popped my cherry!
