F430 Ride Height
#16
I have a 2005 F430 and had it lowered a few years ago. It is important that you do not lower it too much since it will impact the down force aero dynamics of the car if it is to low. I lowered mine 3/4 in the rear and 5/8 in the front. (this is considerred European spec'd) I live in the bay area and had it done by an alignment specialist that does alot of set-ups for track cars as well as lower street cars does and four corner balancing. I would highly recommend you get the four corner balancing when you lower the car. It is a must do on the F430s since they do come to NA a little high to met DOT reguirements. GL
"Yes you are correct you can wind the coils down. But the fact is that the damper cannot work in this capacity. Thats why a vast majority of 360 and 430 cars have blown out dampers and they leak all over the place.
Add to the fact that when you turn the coil down you have no preload on the spring so as you drive over speed bumps driveways all you here is spring pop and clank as they rattle around."
Appreciate any advice and help
