Officially 1,272 CGT's were built. (Probably a few non-production test cars, too.)

No double-take for me, the CGT takes the cake everyday.

No pics, but I did have the pleasure of driving the wheels off both cars today.

^thats a great pick of mango ah snapped Kuzi.

thanks for the drive today.

Too close to call on the Scud CGT debate imho. Different drives and just different feels all together. Both exceptional in their own way.

Thank you for sharing with us your ownership and experience regarding to these two beautiful machineries. It is always a delight that owners like you share their passion and experience with everyone here.

I know that you previously had a F50 in your collection. The F50 has always been my dream car, more so than the F40. I had read your review between these two fine automobiles.

If you don't mind, can you briefly describe the driving and ownership experience between the CGT and F50? Which one is more desirable, offers a higher driver's involvement, and excitement?

Thank you for your reply.

Ah, the F50 vs CGT comparison. well, let me start by saying im a porsche guy at heart. love ferraris, especially the older ones, but end of day, push comes to shove, its a pcar for me. yet, i think there is no comparison when it comes to performance between an F50 and a CGT. The CGT kills the f50 all day, in my opinion.

I personall wasnt juiced up by the F50. i found the accelerationa bit sluggish, yet the controls, the cockpit, and obviously the aesthetics were top notch. but getting to top speed took some time.

the cgt is a modern day masterpiece. fast, wildly exhilirating, and a bit nervy at times.

they are also 2 much different price points. one is a 750k car, the other is 350k car. if you are looking for pure performance, its the CGT. if you want strong performance, but also panache, rarity, collectability...then the f50 is the sure winner.

I always thought that the F50 was quite a beast. Well that was a little disappointing to hear that the F50 is not quite the car i thought it would be, but great answer non the less.

Hope you will continue to enjoy the ownership of the all your exotics. If you have any pictures of your F50, please post them up!

RufMD had a F50, he also owns a F40 and CGT. He soon sold the F50.
