Amazing Collection of 964 Porsches Is Headed to Auction

Rare, fast, and increasing in value, these 964s are true investments. And they’ll be rolling into Florida on March 10.

RM Sotheby’s auctions has a special treat for those of us who love the Porsche 964. Called “Exclusively Porsche, the 964 Collection,” the contents of these auction lots is very clear. However, these aren’t any ordinary 964s. As reported by Car Buzz, this collection compromises 12 of the rarest production models ever to be sold to the public.

How much money would you need to have set aside for the auction? Well, for the entire lot, estimates are between $6.0M to $7.5M. However, you can still pick an individual car out if you’d like. And you’re in for some interesting selections.

If high-speed is your fancy, you have five different 911 Turbos to choose from, including the rarest of the collection; a Flachbau X83 Turbo S from 1994. Need something more track-focused? An all-white 911 Carrera Cup would compliment a 911 Carrera RS America quite well. Pedigree is increased with a 911 RS, and a 911 RSR, both of which are estimated to fetch over $1,000,000.

RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island Auction is now in its 20th year, and the 2018 event is slated for March 10 in Florida. And if you’re interested in selling your 964 rather than buying one, they have a consignment option on their website. As well, RM Sotheby’s has had a long partnership with the Amelia Island Concours car show, being the principal sponsor, and official auction house. Their aim is to ensure that all auction lots are fully researched, historically accurate. Everything from a car’s specific accessories, paperwork, and even tool kits are part of the complete package when buying a car through their auction.
