All-Star Bet: Antonio Brown’s Custom Wraith VS Brandon Marshall’s GT3

When you have the type of money that top athletes generally have, just about any purchase is possible. Antonio Brown has been one of the NFL’s best receivers for a while now. Last year he piled up 1,834 yards (good for second in the league) and 10 touchdowns. It was his best yardage season to date, and his fourth with more than 1,000 yards receiving. But even though he’s at the top of his game, he’s getting challenged by other wide receivers.

NFL veteran Brandon Marshall, who also had the best season of his career last year (1,504 yards and 14 TD), recently bet Brown that he would have a better 2016 season than him. What’s up for grabs? Marshall offered up a Porsche 911 GT3 if Brown is willing to bet his personally customized and galaxy-wrapped Rolls-Royce Wraith.

“Talk about going fast … hey, let’s race for pinks, bro,” Marshall says in the video above. “You know what I’m sayin, if you have more receiving yards than me, I’ll give you the Porsche, if I have more receiving yards than you, then you gotta give me the Rolls-Royce.”

There are a couple things to note here. Antonio Brown’s past two seasons have been better than any season Marshall has ever had. Plus Brown has a better quarterback. Plus he has less teammate receiver competition on the Steelers.

It’s also worth noting that, although the GT3 is an insanely special car, the Wraith is at another level on the pay scale. Wraiths start at about $300,000 while the 991 GT3 is probably priced at around $140,000-150,000. Even if the GT3 could likely out-perform the Wraith, that’s a ridiculous price difference.

Rolls-Royce and a photog friend Andrew Link just did a photo shoot with Brown’s vinyl-wrapped Steelermobile this week, so we have some high-quality looks at the artwork.

Brown, when asked about the bet, doesn’t actually think Marshall is serious and thinks it’s all just a PR move. If that’s true, then it’s working, because we’re here writing about it. But Brown said if Marshall’s real about it, he’ll gladly accept the bet. DO IT, BRANDON!
