Lamborghini Avventura Takes Epic Road Trip to Norway
For the third consecutive year, Lamborghini Avventura sought out and found the world’s finest driving roads.Â
Over the last three years, the Lamborghini Avventura has sought out the most spectacular places and roads in the world. Two years ago, that journey led them to Transylvania, Romania. The year before saw them tackle the gorgeous surroundings of Andalusia, Spain. This year, the brand set out to the unique and diverse setting of Norway. A place that offers everything from glaciers to mountains to waterfalls and even sunshine at midnight. A grand total of six Lamborghinis participated in this year’s journey – four Huracans and a pair of Aventadors.
The dream ride kicked off in Ålesund, a picturesque Art Nouveau town in the northern part of the region of the fjords on small interconnected islands. They then proceeded up Trollstigen, otherwise known as the road of the trolls. Aside from its connection to Norwegian myth, Trollsigen is an impressive stretch of pavement on its own. Completed in 1936, the road features eleven hairpin turns climbing up a ten percent grade made of waterfalls and rock.
The journey continued through Valldal, known as the valley of strawberries. And then onto the reward that is Geirangerfjord, widely considered one of the most visually stunning places on earth. As the epic drive continued, the climate shifted dramatically. The herd of Lamborghinis then crossed Jostedalsbree, the largest glacier in Europe. Which also includes a large stretch of dirt road. After that bit of excitement, the group took a pit stop in Loen before capping things off with a ferry ride to Mount Aksla.
All-in-all, the 2018 version of the Lamborghini Avventura turned out to be a proper bucket list adventure. One that you can bet we’ll be adding to our list of things to do in the future!
