2014 Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse

Out of 50 ever made for the world, Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse rolls into Mecum Kissimmee 2021 party January 15.

Rare rides always grab our attention here at Team Speed. Lamborghini knows how to grab our attention, too. From classics like the Miura to one-offs like the SC18 Alston, Sant’Agata knows how to make ’em. Back in 2014, the company issued a rare version of one of their greatest hits: the Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse. Just 50 were ever made for the whole world, 15 of which landed in the United States.

Up in the Great White North of Canada, though, only three lit up the highway like the Northern Lights. Of the trio, a Giallo Midas Gallardo Squadra Corse will now head down to Kissimmee, Florida for a trip to the Mecum red carpet Friday, January 15.

This Gallardo Squadra Corse arrived at Lamborghini Montreal, then brought over to the U.S. in 2017. There, the seller brought it up to U.S. import regs, including a speedometer swap from KPH to MPH; the metric speedo will come with the car.

Behind the cabin is the Gallardo’s 5.2-liter V10, a street-legal version of the same unit used in the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo, upon which the Squadra Corse is based. The big V10’s 562 horses spread out to all corners of the road through a six-speed semi-automatic. All the ponies are brought to a halt with carbon ceramic brakes, each topped by yellow calipers.

Ahead of the V10, the black suede interior awaits those lucky enough to pilot the Gallardo. The “Squadra Corse” name resides upon the door sills and the passenger side, and polished carbon fiber trim occupies the door panels and center console. And of course, the infotainment system is still covered in its original plastic.

The Gallardo itself is still pretty new. Since leaving Italy all those years ago, it’s only travelled 270 miles upon its Pirelli P Zeroes. It’ll travel a few hundred feet more across the Mecum red carpet before heading home to its next owner. No matter what happens, though, the lucky new owner will have one of the most unique Lamborghinis ever made.
