Have always heard good things about Citizen watches but have no real personal experience. How do you guys feel about these watches in general? Eco Drive is just a glorified quartz movement right? Anyways, was thinking of picking this watch up. What do you think?

For the price they're not too shabby. I personally don't like their designs, as they tend to crib too much from other manufacturers. However, for the price point they're listed at, you'll be hard pressed finding a company as established. I've heard from a few people they're quite reliable and hold up to normal wear well. And yes, EcoDrive is a quartz movement with the added benefit of having a solar cell. I'd personally try and go for a LumTec or used Omega, but it all depends on budget.

That watch looks nice imo....I've had my citizen since 2007 and wear it almost everyday(superb daily beater). This watch was supposed to be the 'backup' watch to my Hamilton(which didn't last a year from Mild usage...issue after issue).
Eco-Drive is definitely a quartz movement in essence and needs to be serviced every 5 to 7 years. I can attest to the reliability of these things though...keeps good time and can take a Beating as of it was a g-shock.

Ive had a Citizen Nighthawk for ~7 years and it has been bulletproof. The only thing I wished it had was a sapphire crystal. For their price range, can't be beat.
The other watch I will always recommend in this range is the Seiko SKX007.

First link broke. Found it for only 208 bucks as well. Gotta see if they ship international.
