Cartier watches

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on Cartier watches and how much of a killing I should expect if I were to pick one up.

Purchased a Ballon Bleu for my wife last year and really like it. Seems to be holding their values but hard to tell. Was looking at a Calibre de Cartier for myself. I could see myself keeping it for a few years and then selling it. Do they hold their value? How much of a hit should I expect say in 3 to 4 years? 1/2? 2/3? nothing?

^^ Dees one and the Roadster with Stainless Steel band/Leather or Gator band interchangeable are the ones to have IMO

Can't shed light into their resale value. I think that one and the Roadster are the ones to hold on to

As far as fashion watches go, Cartier is my favorite brand.

My dad's got a Calibre de Cartier and Roadster, both of which I quite like. I've always admired the Ballon Bleu as well.

Went out to the Cartier store this evening and checked one out. Very nice, sophisticated watch that one would wear with a suit but could easily work with jeans too. (especially the metal band, but Im thinking I may prefer the leather band) Price is about $7K. Ive seen them for much less online compared to the store but who knows

get one from an online retailer at a meaningful discount. The watch will be the same no matter where you get it and these are not exactly rare.

Save a grand here. Cartier Calibre De Cartier Mens Watch W7100037

thats where I was looking the other day. Wanted to see it in person and touch one before I decide. Its a great watch for the money I think. Was originally thinking I wanted a rolex daytonna in white gold. But the more I look at them the less impressed Ive become. My friend just picked up a stainless daytona and it does nothing for me. Guess Im not a rolex guy after all

What movement is in the Cartier?

This and a Daytona are 2 totally different watches.
