Do not like the see through feature, bc I don't want to see my wrist with a watch on. Exposed movement is nice, but it eats too much into the face area, which is bothersome, IMO, it feels like you're getting short changed.

The funniest thing about these skeleton type watches is they should cost less.

Hell its the same F'ing watch it just doesn't have a plate behind the hands with fancy numbers

Well this one has a little one I'd guess.

My opinion is that these guys are totally full of shit

That is one of the nicest watches a big brand has put out in a long time. I personally much prefer the steel, but if you need the RG then so be it. I'm not going to comment on the resale point other than if it really bothers you, you can wait to find a used one but I would expect to wait at least 6 months.

I'm going to pile on this one as well...

Trendy...a fad and just plain does not look good.

Pick up a your dream Patek and you'll never look back.

LOL there's no accounting for taste, is there?

Having said that, if it sings to you...pick it up!

Wait a year and it will come cheap...

Thanks guys for all the feedback, I think both sides of the argument are fair.

I've arranged to have all four in question (5726,5712,Millenary4101,Grand Lange1) to see in NY back to back on Monday when I'm going to purchase.

Whichever way I go, I'll post pics, as always.

One thing is I'll be curious to see what you guys think of this piece once you actually try it on, some of you may still hate it, some of you might be pleasantly surprised.

Apparently the AP Boutique just got two steel ones in to see, so I'm looking forward to seeing it on Monday too. If it's nice, who knows, maybe get that and a simple VC RG patrimony dress piece for the price of the 4101 RG

I tried a few PP's the other day
5726 didn't feel right on but it's a good size. I just can't wrap myself around that design yet. It's good weight but the shape bothered me some

5140P way too small but one what a watch for as tiny as it is. Just amazing they fit everything into a tiny package but 100k seems too much.

5205 is awesome. Priced half the 5140 my wife just thought it was way too close to my 5135. Color and Movement. Just loved the piece. Wife gets final say tho. She has great taste. She picked me.

AP I wont buy but I hope you find the piece for you.

Also forgot about the 5074 she pulled out of the safe as well. I just laughed and told her its illegal to sell kids for a watch....tho tempting
