Outside of the Submariner this would be my top three -

1. Glashutte Original Senator Panorama Date with Moon Phase - simply a GORGEOUS watch. Loved it since I saw it!
2. IWC Portuguese FA Jones - My favorite IWC
3. IWC Ingenieur - fantastic looking piece.

Shitty pic I had on photobucket. Have a bunch more on the laptop, but you get the idea.

RG Master Date

Edit: stock photo for easier comparison

All the options seem like phenominal watches. Personally, simple watches are my preference, so my top two choices would be the JLC master control, and the IWC FA Jones. I am not much of a watch fanatic, but both watches look simple, classy, and very durable. Good luck with the decision!

Kevin, from what I have seen you have great taste and appreciate timeless things. You already have a classic IWC. IMHO, go with one of the "classic" shape/designs, and buy a timeless classic that will always be in style and never lose its value.

A classic PAM or Rolex Sub seem to be the ones that fit that description in your price range.

Hope that helps.

Well I am thinking I have it narrowed down to the Master Calendar and GO. To add to the confusion, I have always wanted a Portuguese Auto, and I have seen some LNIB floating around $8k. Hmm IWC port auto vs JLC master calendar - what to do?!

Any other suggestions?

Throwing my .02c in here but personally I prefer either the IWC fa jones or the Pam. IMO the JLC looks too small for my liking, especially the strap. I think the Pam radomirs are very classy and look nice even at 45mm. And the fa jones is just a classy watch and the movement looks amazing!

very classy list
for me however it is set between jlc master calendar OR rolex submariner

perhaps the sub more so because your iwc is on strap already and you cannot go wrong with the oyster bracelet on the rollie, it goes with literally everything and you can definitely do anything you want while wearing it

unless you WANT another strap watch, jlc master calendar imho
GOOD LUCK

Smile

A number of dressy pieces and then you throw the Submariner and the Ingenuir
If it is sporty then the Submariner (or a GMT II / Rolex EXPLORER II) in my opinion cannot be beat

You also have the Top Gun

Dressy (from your lineup) I like the Master Calendar… pieces that state the day and date almost always get me.

You also have the Cartier Calibre de Cartier

The in between’r... Panerai PAM 88 M

And if Mark was posting here it would be this...
