I threw that out there cause I know there is no chance in hell they'd loan that out for the weekend!

Like others have said, it adds character. I can understand why you're bummed though.
I actually have trouble owning things that I know are "perfect." Sometimes I'll add a little, hidden scratch to something new just so I'm not so nervous about keeping it pristine.
