Variation of this going in the card tomorrow you cheesy bastage. I like it. I'll owe you a beer I'm sure.

I surprised Mrs. Gobbles on the way home today by stopping off at one of her favorite restaurants for dinner, which is also mere steps away from a Swarovski store. 15 years is crystal and she loves turtles, so we ducked in and I picked out a momma and two baby turtles (we have two kids) in crystal. No where near as expensive as the usual jewelry I would have defaulted to, and she hasn't stopped talking about how much she loves them. Dinner was awesome too.

Anyone have a good line on 1ct(ish) princess cut diamond stud earrings?

Prices seem to be ALL OVER the board!

Thanks

Dammit! Just paper cut my tongue sealing her card. Even when doing nice things to surprise her while she's sleeping, this marriage costs me in blood.

Get her an nice card and fill it with words from the heart......you will Win every time

Watch out for setting too high of a standard on year one.

One Rose or One of her favorite flower only says you are Extremely thoughtful but totally get how important your first year with her has been. Mention this in the note to her.

This kind of thing will make her crumble "believe me"

I once bought my wife....girlfriend at the time 12 dozen roses with a simple note. " one flower for every time I thought of you today"

Simple stuff wins every time. I could have had her and all of her girlfriends that night

Rep! I cannot emphasize these two points enough and just had a lengthy discussion with my brother as his GF's birthday approaches (They've been dating ~7 mo).

they are all over the board because there are tons of crap diamonds out there and tons of people pushing them like they are top drawer.

diamond studs don't need to be perfect. find a good H or I in color no need for D,E because they are backed by flesh and ears. They can't glimmer as much. VS1 at best as well for flaws. This could be the best diamond you can find in a typical Mall store.

excellent, that is exactly what i was thinking with the trinity/2-hearts thing so happy for you bro, glad it was a very pleasant anniversary and wish you plenty more to come

you just mentioned the cut and the carat on the stone, literally half the equation (although the cut is very very important for the upcoming) what color and clarity are you seeking? why specifically 1ct?
my first step would be to contact member/sponsor DrivenAgain (J Wade)
also don't forget the setting and the clips' workmanship. material: white/yellow gold, platinum, etc.
please keep us posted and let's showcase how this thread can actually help

CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN ON YOUR MARRIAGE
are you back from the honeymoon?
maybe it's a cultural thing but i contend that a wife/mother of your child can in no way be put in the same sentence as a girlfriend
even if she was the same girl, the status bump should be out of the roof

+1, you can't really tell the difference and i don't think if you are buying her a present that she would care about the specs unless she is an expert and in the know.
did you mean VVS1?
i have seen SI (which is 3 down from vvs1) and they looked spectacular. all in the cut imo

that said, i would not buy any stone online unless i have personalized access to pics/vids because unless it's a 4ct princess cut, D, IF then you will only know when you handle it

I meant VS1 or VS2 but you can easily buy S1 for diamonds.
