Need suggestions/advice on first watch

samuel, your style is as mine 95%, but you're a notch up with the porsche designs since i sport the lowly puma/nike/adidas sneakers
that said, imho, you are of the perfect make for a watch-guy
as for why the guys (and i) were recommending Seikos over the ones you posted, it is because of the build quality and trust in the mechanical movement's performance and sturdiness. bascially, for the "brand" itself as it is tested and a true watchmaker. it is NOT a fashion statement. had you posted gucci/burberry/armani etc watches, myself and the guys (i think) would still say go with Seiko
it's great that you're choosing based on what appeals to you in the exterior, that is of great importance. and let's face it, only the real collectors with true collector's money will look for MOVEMENTS in themselves (and complicated functions) before the materials used (and thus overall shape/weight/feel) and overall looks/complementing wardrobe looks in the higher-end watches.
point being: you're definitely on the right track bro!
all things considered, i would say check out the Bulova
because it has blue accents
and it looks badass

IMO, don't buy any of those for a first watch. Get yourself a nice Lum-Tec automatic, a Seiko SKX007 automatic, or something along those lines. It is much better to spend the same amount of $$ on the Seiko I mentioned, than to waste it on one of the above watches. And if you have more $$ available, get a Lum-Tec. Just my $0.02.

Amazon.com: Hamilton Men's H77612333 Khaki ETO Black Chronograph Dial Watch: Hamilton: Watches

Amazon.com: Victorinox Swiss Army Men's 241396 Infantry Vintage Day and Date Mecha Watch: Watches

just my 2c if you want to spend 400-500 if you want to stick to 200-300 then the Seiko 007 is the way to go, you can even get it for less on ebay
I got one of my Seikos from tenwatches.com.... very happy with it

I'm afraid it's too late already, caught this watch disease of unknown nature. Just looking around shopping them gets me excited like a little school girl.
Thanks for the advice everyone, found a few boutiques that carry Hamiltons in Montreal so in about 2 weeks or so I am paying myself a nice treat.
