My Seamaster 300m was bought new in 2000 or 2001 and has served me very well. I bought the PO in 2006 or so and it has had no problems either. My previous Tags were all quartz watches ($600 range) and worked fine as well.

Wow how ironic that this gets posted. I'm writing up the ad for the Carrera re-edition I'm about to sell. It's been an excellent watch, but I don't wear it anymore b/c of work. I had an Omega Speedmaster Michael Schumacher that I bought from SteveH that was an excellent watch as well, but it didn't go too well with my wardrobe. Finally, I also had an Omega Speedmaster triple date with blue dial that was very problematic. I loved wearing that watch, but the chrono hands wouldn't reset properly and it would stop for no reason.

I say buy what you like and what goes with your personality/style. I've attached a photo of the TAG that's going to be FS and the Omega Schumi.

Omega has their own proprietery movement, Tag does not, thats why they went mass market. They might be trying to change that image but whatever...get what you like. For the limited issues any watch has it really doesnt matter and neither watch will hold value

I like it, but then i do own a Rolex.

I would take a Omega over all but the classic style Tags, Carrera, Slverstone or Monaco.
