Eddie, she hated it!! Nothing to worry about on that one. She does enjoy wearing a watch but she hasn't picked up the larger mm fade yet.
SoCal, with your knowledge of PAMs can you help me with a new strap for this one? I've had it on loan for quite some time and want to thank my friend with a Rob Montana (sp?) strap but have no idea what I need size wise. We can take this to PM so as to not threadjack. Thank you.

He also just revised his website. Much more user friendly.

Out and about in the iwc. This is the sole reason my thoughts of getting a speedmaster pro are getting less and less. everytime I put a watch on I think about which I would grab if I had it, and I would much rather the pilot. I do want to try a bracelet watch though... Hmmm

Question, aside from the cosmetic differences, how different are the Pilot Chrono and the Spitfire Chrono? I know the Pilot's movement is a 79320 movement, vs the spitfires 89365 (at least for the current ones on their website). I guess the Pilot Chrono can time up to 12 hours and has a Day function, while the Spitfire can only time for 1 hour and has no Day function? Also, the Spitfire has more jewels and a much longer power reserve right?
Just curious. Beautiful watch!

Iwc just updated their pilots lineup, so now it is all different. I got this one last year IWC3717-01. At that time the pilot chronograph and the spitfire chronograph were using the same movement, and were differentiated by having different dial material, straps, etc. Now, the pilots series is completely different. The new pilot chronograph has the same movement, whereas the new spitfire chronograph has a completely new IWC manufacture movement.
