^ simple watches you can wind both ways without much trouble. As you start adding complications the gears and levers want to only go one way because even though turning the hour and minutes seems straight forward either way,the coupling for the date, moon phase, month, etc etc don't like that. Also, most watches you shouldn't change the date between 10p and 3a because the date module is engaged.

It kills me that the more expesive shit gets, the more delicate and sensitive it is. lol
