Ha Axman. Well Jeremy, 45mm is very big. Unless you have hairy gorilla wrists like Axman, anything over 42mm looks kinda ridiculous imo. I'm sure some people here dissagree with me and as stated it completely depends on the size of your wrist. For me with a normal wrist I think 42mm is the maximum size.
Tbh though, judging by the picture Axman I honestly think the watch is too big for your wrist too. But of course it's a matter of taste.

Awesome stories Josh. My first 'real' piece was a Tag. I absolutely love it. I was very satisfied when I bought it. Luckily my Dad and Uncle are huge watch aficionado's. Everything I know about time pieces, I owe to them. You're collection is awesome. Love the IWC. The face is absolutely stunning and I agree the band certainly makes it. IWC is an awesome company.

To bee honest I do agree with you on this Ludas, actually I do not have so big wrists. I love the Big Pilot as an example, but when trying it on the wrist I always get a second thought of buying it or not.

But I do not think anything over 42 MM looks ridiculous. First of all with those amazing movements you ned a big case, and second it depends on whom is wearing it, and to what someone is wearing it. I have seen the BP on tiny women´s wrist and still looking good.

The Portofino Hand Wound Eight Days has an stunning movement with an See- through saphhire-glass back, and that awesome Santoni strap, just those things can make you buy this watch and dont care about the size.

Remember, size does not matter

My favorite watch at the moment is the Maxi Marine Diver.
