What's on your wrist today?

The "stickdial" refers to the "GMT-MASTER II" on the dial. Most GMT2s came with the roman numerals, like so: " GMT-MASTER II". Very few watches, which now go by the name of "stickdials" didnt feature roman numerals, but only two straight lines to allegorise a "2". Something like this: "GMT-MASTER ||"
The 3186 refers to the movement of the watch, as opposed to the earlier 3185, which was only put in to very few watches towards the very end of production (mine is a 2007!).
Stickdials are fairly rare, and so are 3186 equipped watches (always considering the timepieces being in like-new condition). Most stickdials are 3185's and most 3186's aren't stickdials... If you catch my drift... Very few watches are indeed 3186-equipped and stickdials at the same time. Pretty collectable... I'm not talking Patrizzi dial daytona collectable, but definitely one of the most sought after Rolex models! I would also like to add that the rarity of this watch is more related to the somewhat rarer Pepsi, more than on the Coke bezel. So just for cliffs: Pepsi/Stickdial/3186. (phew there we go, finally!)
I enjoy collecting special models more than just heading to my local Audemars Piguet dealer and picking up a PHATT Rose gold ROO...(I do own a couple APs though...). Its all about knowing you have something very special on your wrist, but most of the rest of the world not knowing a single thing about the price or rarity of it.
I had to chuckle the other day as someone made a comment about the scratches and dings on my Double Red SeaDweller... Calling it an "old standard steel rolex in mediocre condition..."

Best,
YH

just read this. x1000000, so true. but i love them and i am a fool for marketing.
i was stunned to see them even go for higher now. stryke has a panda for 19.5 in the classifieds.
but i'm not exactly complaining
sweet! thanks
and i agree 100% on the "most of the rest of the world not knowing a single thing about the price or rarity of it" since in Kuwait, Rolex/Omega are the only two respectable watches among the masses.
what APs do you own if you don't mind me asking

Ultra rare 3186 "Stickdial" GMT II. Love the watch to death, especially with the Nato!
I love it!
