Sony’s New SmartWatch to Run Android.

Sony, as expected has introduced the next-gen Smartwatch, called the Smartwatch 2 at the Mobile Asia Expo in Shanghai, China. This device is water-resistant, and supports Near Field Communication. The Smartwatch 2 comes with the Presentation Pal that enables users to remotely control Presentations.

it doesn't connect through a phone. so, how does it get data? through BT? or is there a separate data plan required?
