Where's a good place to take my wife for a weekend?

So at 42 we are pushing middle age. Old is something different.

In all seriousness, I love the PNW and it would be a great place to visit and bring your wife. Exactly as Mark described.

If she likes the outdoors, just pick anywhere in Colorado. You can stay at the Broadmoor hotel, in the heart of Colorado Springs. You can hike at Seven Falls, check out Pikes Peak, when my wife and I went there last June, it was snowing at the Peak. Garden of the Gods. Weather will be mostly sunny in June.
My wife and I like to take weekend trips to Granby, just outside of Winter Park Ski resort. Granby and Grand Lake is there, we'll go to the hot springs in Sulfur Spring. Rocky Mountain National Park is not too far away.
Any ski resorts is a cool place to visit in June. You can visit Glenwood Springs, a lot of outdoor activities, horseback riding, hiking, etc..
Here is a picture of the Broadmoor Hotel.

Thats not bad plan actually
I would, but for 2 reason:
1. I want it to be a surprise
2. We would end up with charts and graphs and statistics and a full weekend itenerary. I just want to go and wing it and have nothing planned except for lodging. Thats how we've travelled Europe in the past and its great.

A lot of good ideas floating around. I'll add one more to the mix.
Lake Tahoe if you haven't been there before. In June you'll be able to do everything that's been mentioned already plus you'll be able to gamble lol at the various casinos in Nevada. It's a great mix of city (not big city) / country all in one.

Unfortunately no, I have timeshare so I use that. If you have a place in mind, just google cabins, I am sure there are many to choose from.
