Ivy in San Diego

I've never raved about any hotels before, but I have to rave about this one. I stay in Four Seasons, Peninsulas, Mandrian Orientals, Park Hyatts, 4-5 star joints 50-60 days a year.

I spent four nights in San Diego at the Ivy in the Gaslamp Quarter.

Amazing place. Service is EXCELLENT. That's awesome for a trendy/boutique/club hotel.
I've heard horror stories about the other trendy spots in town.
These trendy spots forget that service is what matters at a hotel.

The wine and champagne selection is absolutely awesome. They even offered us a tour of the cellar!

The room is typical boutique/modern. (We had a 1br suite with a tub/see through shower)

For you to even mention it here it must be nice. What restaurants did you hit down there?
