Sushi USA - 6/21/08

Wine

Aji Tsumami - Spanish mackerel with grated ginger, green onions and red onions.

Dried Plate - Sardines and cuttle fish strips.

Mirugai Kimo Karaage - Deep fried giant clam livers.

Stuffed Cabbage - Not your typical sushi dish. Ground beef wrapped in cabbage and served with a nice consume.

Kake Udon - Hand made rice noodles with "plain" broth.

Kalbi - Korean style BBQ short ribs.

Yaki Onigiri - Char grilled rice balls served with pickled turnip. (My midnight snack.)

The Aji Tsumami looks great, my favorite fish to order is Spanish Mackerel.

I think i'll be back to Kabuki next week if i have time.

Josh, give me a call if you do. We can get some seats at the bar and the chef can get to know your likes and dislikes. Also, my in-laws are in town, so I'll need an excuse to sneak out of the house.

that's perfectly fine with me. just remember that they close at 9:00. they'll stay open until 10:00 or 10:30 if i'm there, but the kitchen (hot food) might be limited.

we can also try the other place on topanga and lassen - sushi usa.

or if you want a late night out, i know a very good place on ventura and corbin that's open until midnight - urekamu.

lastly, if you want to drop some cash, we can go to go's mart in canoga park.

I'm just trying to avoid sitting in traffic after work. I'm down to try Sushi USA if you'd like, is it open later? If not i'll just deal with the traffic.

I've been to go's mart, for that kind of money i'd rather spend a little more and go to Urasawa...

sushi usa closes at 9 also. if you don't want to fight the traffic, let's go to uerukamu (welcome). they close at midnight and i know the owner and head chef there. will your GF be attending?
