glad you guys are excited. the gohan special is something i contrived a long time ago and they've come to perfect it. it is out of this world. i've never been able to really duplicate it anywhere else.

Sushi USA - 6/28-6/29
Maguro Natto - Tuna and fermented soy beans.

Hakusai - Homemade pickled Chinese cabbage.

Sawagani - Soft shell river crabs - deep fried served with lemon and salt.

Ohitashi - Cold boiled spinach topped with katsuo boshi and sesame seeds. Sorry, I took a bite before the pic.

Nagoya Teba - Chicken wing braised in a sweet miso glaze.

Nasu - Broiled eggplant served with soy sauce and chili pepper.

yeah, i love snacking on them. they're like delicious potato chips.

We have been eating Sawagani ever since Kenji first brought them into the restaurant. In fact, we had 32 of them on Saturday. Next time you are there, check out the pictures on his wall.
