Yes, best food are Japanese proper restaurants and Taiwanese night markets. I go back yearly so will have to check this one out.

No disrescpt, the food looked exotic, but other than the lobster, there isnt one thing i would be able to eat even if i tried hard.

omg that looks absolutely awesome.
i'm taiwanese too, and this just makes me want to visit tw again. the food is just so good everywhere.

Ing Hsing Omakase

Found a review here:

a hungry girl's guide to taipei: japanese: i recommend ING HSIANG OMAKASE

It's not really kid friendly, unlike the review suggested. My wife stayed at the hotel with the kids while I had dinner there with my brother.
