The truth about the Catalans - Part 2:
X Many Catalans are subtile racists. In the smaller villages they will only accept you if they think that THEY are superior. If not..... it makes them full of complexes. You will just remind them of their own shortcomings.
Most of the time treating you in an offensive, passive aggressive or aggressive and unfair manner, because there is something eating them from inside. Often behind your back, talking in “secret”..... they are too afraid and weak to confront you.
Need Farmacia? No logic here.... poor, unfriendly, passive aggressive people.
The truth about the Catalans - Part 3:
X Most Catalans don’t even speak or understand ANY foreign language. If you speak to them in English or French they immediately become slightly aggressive and feel inferior. But even worse, the TOTAL absence of logic and intelligence is insane. Especially the lack of logic is one of many weak spots. Catalans are plain and simple stupid.
Here are the first example, more will follow:
A friend of mine was on holidays in the Barcelona area, went to the local drugstore (farmacia) asking for "Tiger Balm" ????? was the reaction, asking her 2 coworkers.....nobody understood what she was asking for. She tried "Tiger Balsam" ????? She tried pronouncing it in another way, still they did not have a clue. Then her 4. attempt she tried "Tiger Balsamo" ????? in order to make it sound "more Spanish"........but nope still they were clueless.... all 3!! By chance an American woman living in the area for years came in and heard the conversation, offering her kind assistance and then AHHHH "Balsamo de Tigre"......................HOW could they not understand what she was asking for???
You only need a smal amount of logic to understand what she meant. This is after all in a drugstore, not a local bar or brothel, where they sell this product and where these Catalans should have some kind of education...... BUT maybe not? Well this is poor people, what do they make a month, around 1000 Euro??
The American woman (thank god, there are still some kind people) explained that she have had many many similar experiences when she first moved there. Through all the experience my friend could feel this unfriendly, passive aggressive behaviour.
After the last mega wave of demonstrations / manifestations in Barcelona, you start to get an idea as to what I have been talking about....
Catalans are evil, passive aggressive people. Well forget about passive for now...Catalans are aggressive!!
Not only did they march and fight in the center of the city.... as usual. This time they blocked the airport. It was like a war zone, it was CRAZY!! Almost 10.000 people got STRANDED in the El Prat Airport, innocent foreigners and tourist on a hard earned holidays to Barcelona. Stranded without food and drinks enough, kids.... older people.
But why? was the question from foreign journalists?
X Catalans want people outside Spain to "FEEL this".
X Catalans want to "HIT the foreigners" on the economy.
XCatalans want "to SHOW" the rest of Europe and the world that they are not content.
XCatalans want "ATTENTION" and they want it now.
Well, pobre Catalans. You are going to "FEEL this" in the future. We will "SHOW" you how to "HIT", and we will get your "ATTENTION" for real.
But WTF Catalans, I can tell you right now, 99% of the foreigners don't care about your problems. Tourist dont go on holidays to get involved in Catalan politics.
In the center of Barcelona 61% of all sales are made to tourists. As a direct result of the tourists who boost tourism in Barcelona annually, the city receives around 2000 million euros.
By adding to this number the indirect, induced economic effect, this sum rises to 3880 million euros.
More than 26 000 Catalans sustain themselves thanks to the sales made to tourists.
And this is how you treat your guests??
Catalans: Your passport is Spanish, your car got Spanish number plates. Barcelona is in Spain. That are facts, live with it. It will stay like that. It is not going to change. Especially not with your behavior. One French man DIED in the Airport because of this. He was an innocent!
I tell you. It is brutal. It is evil. It is fantastic. The realistic unglamorous tv-series about a crime syndicate "The System" or the Camorra if you like... much more violent, and if you ask me unpredictable, then the "old school" mafias like the Sicilian Cosa Nostra.

I read Roborto Savianos book, "Gomorrah" with great interest when it first came out in 2006. At that time I was also working a lot in Italy, in fact so often that I had my Lamborghini Murcielago parked in Rome and I drove it down to Napoli, Sorrento, Pescara and all the other places where I stayed/worked. When it comes to his book, Saviano's translator was not always up to the task. Fucili a pompa are not "air rifles", but pump-action shotguns. Auto blindate are not "armoured cars", but ordinary sedans with bulletproof plating. At first Savianos book was passed around as gifts by gang members, but as it grew in popularity his life became under imminent threat. A real threat. He has since then been under 24 hour armed protection by police bodyguards.
The serie has four seasons and a upcoming fifth season - which is expected to air in 2021.

"Ozark"🎬 Money laundering. Tax evasion. At its best. Excellent intense entertainment and a good story. This is definitively a brilliant TV-SERIES that you need to see and its getting better and better. Season three was the best so far.
The story 📼 Ozark follows Marty Bryde (Jason Bateman) - a financial adviser whose gig laundering millions for the cartel goes wrong (understatement), causing him to cut a deal with the Mexican drug lord he’s working for. As a result, Bryde lands himself, his family and his broken marriage in a tourist town in the Ozark mountains while trying to repay a humongous debt to the cartel.
My 🖥️ Background story You could compare it to Breaking Bad - husband turning to the underworld to support his family - they are of course different. But if you like BB, you will like Ozark as well. Personally I dont have any experience with this hillbilly flare, but maybe that's why it is so interesting....
Awards 🏆 The series has won 2🏅Emmys (14 Emmy Awardnominations) and Jason Bateman has received 2 Golden 🌐 Globe Award nominations for Best Actor - TV Series Drama. So I guess that I am not the only one appreciating Ozark.
The 💻 serie has three 📀 seasons - 🔮 maybe an upcoming fourth 📀 season.
