The hottest place in the Meatpacking District right now is Bagatelle.

Bagatelle
409 W. 13th St.
(9th Ave. & Washington St.)
212.675.2400
A new French bistro to hit the meatpacking district, Bagatelle’s menu is geared toward tapas style dining with small dishes that are best shared among the table. The food is impeccable, and competes fiercely with other bistros in the area. The space is not overwhelmingly big so it maintains a cozy, comfortable, and romantic feel. The interior is all white with plenty of candles burning so it seems somewhat chic with a taste of elegance (exactly the type of crowd that goes there). And with Kiss and Fly right next door, Bagatelle is a great stopover for drinks before a night out.

Some other notables:

Barbuto
STK
Mercato 55
Pastis

As good as Tenjune is, they are not open Mons/Wedns/Sunds. If you are ever looking for a good Monday night spot, Butter is the way to go.

German Driver is an unknown quantity at this point
For the next time... Marcelleria on the corner of Gansevoort (across from the hotel). Reviews show it to struggle with service but plan your meal past 8pm and you are in the clear. They have amazing aged cuts and very good pasta dishes.

Also Del Posto is quite a good (I see someone mentioned it). Buddy of mine is a chef there for Mario Batali who is co-owner so if anyone needs to get in on a busy night... drop me a PM at least 12 hours in advance and I'll try my best.

I love Butter up in Noho, and in MPD I love STK and ONE.
