Excellent 2011 Summer TS meet in Italy.
We are there a month and are planning on seeing as much as possible. I don't know who's more excited us or our two friends house sitting......

If you are asking me I've got no plans for that, but honestly we have no plans. We have a house rented in the center of the country and are going to plan day trips to different areas and some small overnighters places.

He prally meant Chris as Germany is littered with WWII sites (not that italy doesnt have any)
Italy summer 2011 could be awesome. I have never been so i am pumped.
/on topic
Chris, forgot to add that Munich also has some killer food spots --- one being the train station (lots of fun little stands and such) --- but there are also lots of other cool nicer places that are right in that general area.
I might be more excited for your trip than you are LOL

Some good tips in this thread for you, Id also add visitng this place if you can:
Auto & Technik MUSEUM SINSHEIM! | Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim
Its a got an amazing collection of, well, everything! I found a flyer in some roadside motel on my way back from the ring and had the spare time and went. Wish I had planned more time there.
Also if Hugo Boss is your type fo thing, there is a Outlet 'City' at Metzingen which is/was the Hugo Boss factory and has a massive Hugo Boss outlet there, dont know how they compare to US prices, but compared to the UK the prices are damn cheap!
Id agree that you should stick to the southern areas, but Id reccomend going to the 'ring. The first time I went I was just in awe of the place and gingerly took my E class hire car around and loved it. If you have the time just do it.
I could go on and on about Germany, absolutely love the place, in fact Im ever so tempted to drop everything and move there, if only I could speak the damn language!
