Any Recs. For Koh Samui?

Anantara is pretty good, or any adjacent hotels in that area. Quieter, clean, and no drunken 18 year old's, unless that's what you are looking for.

Can't advise you on hotels since we rented a villa and the amount of accommodation has tripled in the last 5 years. Tripadvisor always helps us out.
If possible, arrange a trip through the backlands of Koh Samui in a Jeep Willy. Beautiful views and unspoiled nature. Also, if you're in for a treat, there are some great small hidden restaurants along several of the quieter beaches. Never had such good Thai cuisine in my life.

Def not going for the drunken 18year olds.
Want a quiet place to spend 10 days with a lady friend. We need a break.
Should have said i wanted recs. for the areas on which to avoid ( for the drunken ****wits etc ) and which places to go to have some peace and quiet. Hotels will follow after that. I use tripadviser alot for the hoterls, but harder to know what the area they are in is like.
Not sure where im gonna go yet ( fiji, tahiti, samoa, samui ) so wanted to get a few together and throw a dart typa thing.

Very quiet, nice beaches. I forgot where we stayed, but they asked us each morning what kind of seafood we want. Then they go buy it from the market and cook it for us that night, FTW.
In fact, the next time we go to Thailand, we will probably make a stop there. I miss Samui.
Skip Pukhet, it sucks. I brought the mrs there because she's never been. After the plane took off out of there, she told me she agreed that my initial assessment was correct, that Pukhet does indeed suck.

June is the cusp. Really humid, but should be no rain yet.
July, August is brutal. I should know, we did our big destination wedding for friends and families around the world in Bangkok in August.
It rained way way way too much in Bangkok, Huahin, Samui, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The only place it didn't rain during our wedding/honeymoon was Shanghai.

And it's located in the middle of all the action.
