Question School me on Los Cabos, please.

I’m looking to take a trip to Los Cabos in either the spring, or early part of the summer this coming year. I have not had the opportunity to explore this part of Mexico before, and want to gather some intelligence from those who’ve traveled there in the past.

What do you fellow TeamSpeeder’s recommend I look into while I am there? (Hotels & Villa/Property Rental, Dining, Nightlife, etc...)

Any help that is provided will be greatly appreciated.

I have a place down there, but need more info from you. What are your tastes and budget (Four seasons level or Motel 6?)

One word...Well two words actually. ATV Tour.
We did the ATV tour on the same beach were they recorded Troy during sunset and it was freaking amazing, one of the best things I've done. Just me and two buddies blasting away alone along the shore on those beautiful sandy hills

GREAT place. IMO one of the better Mexico destinations. Cleaner and less "MTV Springbreak" if you will. The sand there is unique, bigger grains compared to the other beaches. Just a fair warning though, the water is a little bit colder than you'd think.

I’m planning on only staying a week, maybe two at the most, so I’m figuring a $15,000 budget would suffice? I don’t really have a set budget though. As far as tastes, I’m super easy to please and like just about everything.

Thanks Felix, I’ll definitely check in to that!

The “MTV Spring Break” style vacation is definitely not something I’m looking for. I don’t mind the party scene, but only when administered in small doses. I’m glad to know it’s not too crazy.

The top resorts are:

One and Only Palmilla
Las Ventanas
Esperanza

Or I highly recommend renting a house or villa, especially if there are some friends coming with. Try cabovillas.com

Also try the dune buggy experience... wideopencabo.com

mgoblue is an unknown quantity at this point
If you really want to explore, and see the 'real' Cabo, I would recommend just a few days in Cabo. It's certainly a fun place to be, but if you head up the east coast a bit you'll find all kinds of great, more rustic places. I guess it depends on what you're really looking for.
