Definitely gotta agree with all that's been mentioned. But most definitely agree with Danny Carey he's probably my favorite. But I'm a big Tool fan. His beats are always top notch IMO.

I think Josh Freese is great as well. Reason why lots of bands use him.

love all the drummers mentioned. I'd like to add Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez. His left foot work and odd-time playing is incredible.

I just listend to "All the World's A Stage" in its entirety on my flight yesterday, and I have to reiterate how amazing "The Professor" Neil Peart is. I also listened to Dave Matthews Band "LIve at Red Rocks" and "Live at Chicago" and Carter Beauford is f-ing amazing the way he effortlessly integrates right and left hand paradiddles into his repretoire. I've also been listening to lots of Led Zep lately, and no one makes the drums "speak" like John Bonham. IMHO he is and always will be the best.
