Here's my update...I let him pick it out and surprised me by getting a Carvin C750 in satin finish. Acoutic electric and had alot of the intermediate priced details and all for 500.00 with hardshell case! thanks for all the input and I'll let you know how he likes it! it is arriving this week. so, now I have an grand to spend on me!
