im really diggin hot chip, saw them perform (and met them) in austin. they rocked the house, funny thing is they never perform their songs the same as the "official" version at live shows, they always change it up. i would recommend their latest album "made in the dark", has some good dvd footage from their shows as well.

i haven't picked up one of hot chips albums yet, but i do have a bunch of remixes by them which are pretty good.

MGMT definitely put out a good album this past year. Time to Pretend has wicked lyrics and was the song that first drew me to them.

Vampire Weekend is the biggest internet scenester craze these days, but I will give it to them, they made an incredibly catchy album. A-Punk has been on all my recent playlists.

 

oh, and if you like sort of wacked, off the charts type music have you heard of Why? They just released a new album this past tuesday which has gotten some more good reviews. Anyway, this is off their previous album, but a great track nonetheless.

all the hot chip albums are good, i would start with their older stuff first. you can listen to their sound evolve with each album. i know hot chip remixes a bunch of other songs but have you heard any of their songs remixed? i have found some good stuff. check it out.

MGMT is probably my fav band right now, love their sound.
